Welcome to our website

Harberton Hall

The Hall operates as a charity for the benefit of the local community.   It is a large modern facility, used by a number of regular weekly groups and is also available for hire for private functions.   Its underfloor heating makes it particularly attractive to dance and movement groups.  It is fully accessible for disabled users.   See Facilities for more information on what we have to offer.

History

During the 1990s a group of enthusiastic villagers got together to plan an enlarged public meeting space for Harberton.  After extensive efforts to obtain grants and donations it was built by local people for local people to provide a community space.  It was opened in 1996 and continues to be well supported by the local community.  In the Summer of 2026 we celebrated our 30th birthday with a party for the village in the Hall.

Up-coming events

Our next fundraising event, on Saturday 21st November is "Into the Breach", a funny, moving one-man show set in a Devon village in 1942.  Suitable for anyone over the age of eight.  "Dad's Army meets the Vicar of Dibley" (London Metro).
