Guidance for Hirers
For information, and to ensure the safety and comfort of all users, we request that you adhere to the following guidelines when using the Hall and Kitchen. These guidelines should be read in conjunction with our comprehensive "Terms and Conditions of Hire" document which is sent to hirers when they book.
Charging
The Hall is let by the hour, except for wedding receptions and half/all-day events (See Hiring Rates for pricing). A booking must allow sufficient time to set up and clear away after the event.
Opening and closing
Entry to the Hall is via a keypad on the main door. Users will either be given the entry code prior to their event, or the door will be unlocked for you. Before leaving we request that users secure windows and doors, switch off the lights and secure the main door. If there is a subsequent booking the hirer will be notified to leave the door open.
Care of the Hall
We request that users leave the Hall in a clean and tidy state after their event. This included wiping down tables and surfaces, sweeping the floor and returning chairs to their storage place.
Rubbish
We ask that rubbish is removed as there is no refuse collection.
Opening hours
The Hall cannot be let after midnight on weekdays, 11.45 on Saturdays and 10.30 on Sundays. Please be considerate to local residents, particularly during evening events.
Emergency exit
In case of emergencies, evacuate the building via the main entrance and the emergency exit located to the back of the hall on the right
Public Liability Insurance
The Hall has Public Liability Insurance which covers users. This is exhibited on the noticeboard in the foyer and all clients should check that they are sufficiently covered by their own Public Liability Insurance. Please note our insurance specifically excludes cover for bouncy castles, naked flames or fireworks. Hirers wishing to use a bouncy castle must ensure that separate cover is included.
Alcohol licence
If you wish to sell alcohol you need to obtain a temporary events notice.
Smoking, vaping
The Hall has a not smoking and vaping policy.
Music licence
We do have a public performance license.
